An Introduction

Welcome to Wholly Bound!

and these are my younger sisters, M&M

My name is Tessa and I am a full-time college student, part-time reader, and lifetime learner. Writing is my passion, so I’m studying public communication in the cornfields of Ohio at Cedarville University. And I love seeking out the Truth & sharing it with others, which is why I founded this blog.

My generation is spiritually illiterate and abandoning the church. Research done by The Barna Group reveals that while 59% of Generation Z identifies with some sort of theistic religion and 7% associate themselves with another faith, 35% percent articulated some form of skepticism. Even young believers who have grown up in the church have voiced doubts about the Bible’s authority and Christianity’s relevance in a post-theistic age of history.

There is so much confusion about the nature and knowability of truth. But the Gospel can provide answers for Generation Z and every other person who desires hope and certainty.

My desire is to step into the literacy gap and encourage my peers to take ownership of their faith & pursue Christ obediently so that we might transform our culture from the inside out–one conversation at a time. That’s what Wholly Bound is all about: seeking Truth, showing grace, and loving well.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
